Argos has topped the inaugural Digital Capability Index by Retail Week and The Grocer, recognition for its joined-up shopping experience which most closely matches what consumers say matters to them. Announced today at LIVE 2026, the new index celebrates the retailers leading the way in future‑ready shopping.
The index assesses how 65 UK retailers meet customer expectations across stores and online, using more than 75 metrics and insights from over 2,000 customers. It also highlights that Argos had the highest average monthly visitors in the group, reflecting the trust customers place in the brand and the strength of our offer.

George ArnettCongratulations to Argos on being the first winner of the Digital Capability Index, a new ranking developed by Retail Week and The Grocer. Placing first means that the brand's joined-up shopping experience most closely matches what consumers say matters to them.
Features like same-day delivery, rare among non-grocery brands, as well as a strong utilisation of its store network were some of the ways that Argos stood out. Data provided by Similarweb also showed that its website was the most-visited in 2025 out of any of the 65 leading retailers we tracked, another sign of how its proposition resonates well with UK consumers.
