How we engage on sustainability
- Public responses to government consultations and through NGO/industry groups

Examples of our engagement on sustainability in FY2024/25
- Our Board and senior leadership have had direct engagement with ministers and officials with respect to a wide range of issues of relevant to our business sector through events, meetings, visits and panel discussions
- Our Chief Executive Officer, Simon Roberts, was appointed as a Member of the Government’s Food Strategy Advisory Board, which released the UK government Food Strategy for England in July 2025
- Worked closely with the government on key reforms, including food resilience, health, electric vehicles and the circular economy
- Proactively engaged with stakeholders on public policy issues affecting our customers and colleagues, including the Employment Rights Bill, the Deposit Return Scheme and Extended Producer Responsibility legislation
